Nathan Gay led the Eagles with 19, hitting nine field goals. Curtis Meade and Bo McKinley had 11 and 10, respectively, as Westport improved to 4-0.
Luke Andrews paced the Beavers with eight points.
AVCS 77, Lake Placid 18
CLINTONVILLE - The Patriots made light work of Lake Placid in CVAC boys basketball Dec. 12.
Ricky Lee and Ryan Murphy led the charge with 12 points apeice as every dressed player scored for AuSable Valley.
The patriots combined for 19 points from the free-throw line.
Anthony and James Kordziel led the Blue Bombers, combining for 12 points.
Girls Basketball
Willsboro 37, Chazy 30
WILLSBORO - Willsboro continued their winning ways with a low-scoring victory over Chazy in MVAC girls basketball Dec. 10
Alicia Mahoney led the Warriors with 12, and Ashley Sherman added 10 as Willsboro improved to 3-0 in their first home game of the season.
The Warriors played lock-down defense for much of the game, taking a 31-18 lead after three quarters.
Stephanie Pepper paced Chazy with 10 points.
Westport 61, Keene 16
KEENE - The Beavers struggled to find the net as Westport took a decisive victory on the road in MVAC girls basketball Dec. 11.
Martha McKinley and Sarah Gibbs led the Eagles with 12 apeice and Rebecca White added 10 as 10 players scored for Westport, which improved to 3-0 for the season.
Emma Nye and Summer Reed were the only two Beavers to score with 12 and 4, respectively.
AuSable Valley 60, Lake Placid 50
LAKE PLACID - A strong third quarter spurred AuSable Valley past the Blue Bombers in CVAC girls basketball Dec. 11.
Taking a narrow 28-25 lead into halftime, the Patriots poured on the points after halftime, outscoring Lake Placid 17-9 in the third quarter.
Michelle Taylor hit four 3-pointers for the Patriots, adding to her total of 15 points. Zoe Saulsgiver also had 15, while Alexis Coolidge led with 19.
