Church pastor marks anniversary

CROWN POINT - Wilfred Meseck recently celebrated the year anniversary of his appointment as pastor of the Crown Point United Methodist Church.

Meseck and his wife, Dee, received flowers, an anniversary cake and balloons following the Nov. 2 service.

"Under his leadership and the hard work of the church's members, the church is experiencing a growing commitment to Christ and the community of Crown Point," said Marilyn Crossman of the church.

Services are held each Sunday at 9:30 a.m. The Praise Team performs and there is a children's time and Sunday School. Visitors are always welcome.

Church children are now preparing a Christmas presentation.

Crown Point United Methodist Church held an open house recently.

It included musical presentations with violin and keyboard accompaniment along with vocal presentations by the recently-formed Praise Team. There was also a skit performed by members of the congregation.

The open house concluded with a coffee hour and refreshments.
