• Robert Cogan, 54 of First Ave., Warrensburg, pled guilty Dec. 3 to DWAI and was sentenced by Town Justice Mindy Fisk to a conditional discharge and fined $300 in his first alcohol-related offense. When Cogan was stopped by police Nov. 8, his blood-alcohol level measured .08 percent and he was charged with DWI and failure to keep right. The DWAI plea satisfied all charges, and Cogan's license was suspended for 90 days.

• Tina Luke, 53, of Lake Luzerne, received an adjournment in contemplation of dismissal Dec. 3 as satisfaction of a Criminal Purchase of a Weapon charge relating to an April incident in which police say she attempted to buy a shotgun at Nemec's Sport Shop on behalf of her husband Gary. The day before, Gary Luke filled out a background-check form at Nemec's and he stated he was not subject to a court restraining order, police said, although he was.

Gary Luke, who also faces a felony charge of first-degree Falsifying a Business Record as well as a misdemeanor Criminal Purchase of a Weapon charge, was due Dec. 5 in county court. According to the court records, Tina Luke's ACOD was linked to her cooperation in testifying against her husband.

• Joseph Shortsleeves, 25 and Kyle Hayward, 22, both of Main St,. Warrensburg, appeared in court Dec. 3 to answer felony second-degree Attempted Robbery charges. They were arrested Nov. 23 after they had engaged two male acquaintances in a fight at a time they demanded wallets and other property from them at a site near Summit St. and South Ave. Their case was adjourned for the two to obtain the services of an attorney.

Several weeks earlier, Shortsleeves was in court answering another charge. He was arraigned Nov. 12 for Resisting Arrest. Police came to see him on a warrant or complaint, and he pushed police off a porch and scuffled with them as they held him down and tried to handcuff him.
