Rec. & Parks Dept. hosts citywide events

RUTLAND - The Rutland Recreation and Parks Department invites local residents to spend an afternoon at the newly renovated Giorgetti Arena Sunday, Dec. 7, from 1:30-4:30 p.m.

Free refreshments will be served and recreation department program prizes will be raffled off. The schedule of activities is: public skate 1:30-4:30, broomball 2:30-3:00, raffle 3-3:15, and cross ice youth hockey game/demonstration from 3:15-4 p.m. Curling starts at 4:30 p.m. See what the Giorgetti Arena has to offer local residents of all ages. •Annual Raider Rooters/Rutland Recreation Basketball Clinic: The annual clinic will be held Sunday, Dec. 7 for boys and girls grades 4-8. Girls session is 11:30-1:30 and boys from 2-4 p.m. Fee is $15 which includes a t-shirt and post clinic pizza party with the Rutland High School players.

Cookies with Santa: Tenney Brook Preschool is hosting Cookies with Santa Claus Sunday, Dec. 7, from 1-3 p.m. at Dana Recreation Center gym. Stop by and have cookies, listen to carols, make a holiday card and visit with Santa. Don't forget to bring a wish list.
