Panthers skate past Norwich, remain undefeated

The Panthers kept it rolling on Sunday when Ireland netted two goals, and Annmarie Cellino scored once to go along with three assists, pacing Middlebury in a 5-0 shutout of Wesleyan College.

The outcome of this contest was never in doubt, as the Panthers out shot their hosts 59-8. Senior forward Molly Vitt joined in on the fun with a goal and a pair of assists. Nakamura also scored for Middlebury, giving her three goals for the weekend and four total on the season.

Sophomore Alexi Bloom was in the net for the Panthers, making eight saves to post her first shutout of the year. Wesleyan fell to 0-4-1 with the loss.

The Panthers return home this weekend to host Connecticut College Saturday at 7 p.m. and Amherst Sunday at 3 p.m.
