Food Pantry volunteers needed

WEVERTOWN - While staff and volunteers at the North Country Outreach Center work to assure that everyone who needs food is able to obtain some, behind their efforts is a function still in need of volunteer assistance.

Food supplies come from surrounding community organizations and must be trucked to the Outreach Center. In order to keep the flow of food coming to the Center without over-taxing town resources, several volunteers are needed.

Volunteers would take responsibility for picking up the food in either Glens Falls once per month or Warrensburg twice monthly on designated days. Currently there is a driver who trucks food from Brant Lake twice monthly but volunteers to back up his work may also be needed.

Anyone interested in volunteering or learning more about what is needed should contact Anita Abrams at 251-2138
