Carlson named Copperfield Inn's marketing director

NORTH CREEK - Joel Beaudin of Copperfield Inn Resorts LLC, has announced that the resort has begun filling key positions prior to their opening in early February of 2009.

Dick Carlson of North River has accepted the position of marketing director for the resort. Carlson has more than 20 years of experience in resort management and marketing at nearby Garnet Hill Lodge and Cross-Country Ski Center.

"Marketing responsibility is the lifeblood of of any hotel and resort," Carlson said. "We plan on showcasing the Copperfield as a unique Adirondack destination hotel, restaurant and tavern. This is the signature property in the North Creek area for vacations, meetings and weddings.

"I'm excited to package this resource with one of the East's greatest alpine skiing venues at Gore Mt., as well as cross-country ski centers, world class whitewater on the Hudson River, and untold thousands of acres of wilderness for outdoor recreation and beauty."
