Rotarians welcome new members

SHELBURNE - Charlotte Shelburne Rotary Club inducted its two newest members recently as they welcomed Michael and Michele Lash of Shelburne.

Membership chairman Ric Flood, right, officiated at the induction ceremony and the Lashes were sponsored by Steve and Elaine Dates. Michele grew up in Massachusetts and moved to Vermont when she married Michael 28 years ago. She worked as a psychological educational consultant and educator until 2000 when she returned to school to study psychophysiology and biofeedback. Now in her business Stressless she advises clients on stress reduction strategies valuable to athletes and people in demanding jobs who need to manage their tensions constructively.

Michael is a native of Burlington and graduate of University of Vermont. He joined his father in the furniture business, working at Town and Country before he founded Ethan Allen Furniture in Shelburne. He has been active in community work as a member of the board of the Visiting Nurse Association and is past chair of the Heart Association.
