LAKE GEORGE The 2008-2009 school year begins Wed. Sept. 3 for Lake George Central students. Classes begin at 8 a.m. for elementary school pupils and 8:05 a.m. for junior-senior high school students. Upon arrival, elementary students will be directed to their classrooms by teachers stationed in the main lobby of the school. Junior-senior high school pupils will report directly to guide rooms and assigned areas. The first day of school will be a full day for all grade levels. Dismissal for elementary students will be at 2:05 p.m. and for secondary students at 2:30 p.m. Vocational Education classes and Special Education classes BOCES classes will begin Wed. Sept. 3. The cafeterias will begin serving lunches on opening day. Prices for student lunches will be $2 in the elementary school and $2 in the junior-senior high. Students who bring their lunches from home and only purchase milk, and students who desire extra milk with their school lunch, can purchase half pint containers for 40 cents. Breakfast will be available before school in both buildings for $1. Information relative to free and reduced prices lunches and breakfasts will be distributed to all students the first day of school. Federal regulations call for applications for free and reduced price meals to be renewed each year. Information on transportation may be obtained before school starts between 7 a.m. and 1:30 p.m. by calling Ronald Service at 668-2131.
