Errecart elected to Boston bank board

SHELBURNE Rep. Joyce H. Errecart (R-Shelburne) was recently elected to serve as vice chair of the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston board of directors. Her term will run through Dec. 31, 2009. An attorney with an extensive career in the public and private sectors, Errecart was elected to the Vermont House of Representatives in 2002 to represent Chittenden District 5-1. Previously, she served as Vermont Commissioner of Taxes and as a member of the Shelburne Zoning Board and the Shelburne Board of Civil Authority. She has also served on the boards of the Federation of Tax Administrators, Shelburne News, Burlington Meals on Wheels, Greater Burlington Industrial Corporation, and the Vermont YWCA. In addition to her responsibilities at the Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston, Errecart currently serves on the boards of the Vermont Student Opportunity Scholarship and Shelburne Charlotte Hinesburg Interfaith Projects. The Federal Home Loan Bank of Boston is a cooperatively owned wholesale bank for housing finance in the six New England states. Its mission is to support the residential-mortgage and community-development lending activities of its members, which include over 460 financial institutions across New England. To accomplish its mission, the bank utilizes private-sector capital to provide members and other qualified customers with reliable access to low-cost wholesale funds, liquidity, a competitive outlet for the sale of loans, special lending programs, technical assistance, and other products and services.
