Moriah summer youth rec program a success

To the Times of Ti: On behalf of the Moriah Youth Commission, I would like to thank the following people for their kindness and contribution to our program's continued success. Thank you toGrace Stay and the other members of the Mineville CV-Tech faculty for welcoming us into the BOCES building. The four weeks we spent at BOCES allowedour campers to interact with the students in several activities, including basketball, arts and crafts, and Arts Trek. Suchinteraction proved to berewarding for everyone in the building, especially the campers, as it remindedeveryone to see beyond one's disabilities and, rather, to enhance abilities. One student, in particular, enjoyed the support from our campers during our morning basketball practices. I would also like to extend our gratitude to Mary Supernault and the kitchen staff for preparing daily meals, Judy French and Sue Cutting for teaching our campers how to make healthy snacks, and Debbie and Rick LaPier for donating several movies. Our program would not be possible without the commitment of Jack Armstrong, Rod Mace, Meg Sheffer, Wendy Wintel, Ronnie Cunningham, Mark Davenport, Tom Anderson and Tom Scozzafava. As always, we value your devotion to the children of the town of Moriah. Rebekah Vosburg Program Director
