Volunteers thanked for Habitat Walk-A-Thon

To the editor: The AuSable Valley Habitat for Humanity held its Walk-A-Thon, the Valley Walk, on July 26th, just prior to the Keene Bicentennial Jubilee. The event was very successful and raised approximately $1600 for the building of our next Habitat home. We truly wish to thank all those wonderful people who took the time to walk the 2.6 mile trek for this amazing cause. This money will make a substantial contribution to the construction of our ninth Habitat home. We would particularly like to thank the following persons and businesses who have contributed to our program: Trails End, Barkeater, Adirondack Living Homes, Town and Country Gourmet, Rivermede Farms, Adirondack Realty, Noonmark Diner, Anonymous, Ruth Pelmas, Linda Coe and Sam Fisk, Alana and Tom Both, Frissie and Bill Reed, Judy and Harrison Caner, Carrie and Harry Fine, Hope Stone, Kate Gorman, Amelia Cole, Katherine, Bill and Grace Brown, Peg Wilson, Gilda and Cecile Wray, Howard Kemp, Kathy Regan, Kathleen Recchia, Sam Balzac, Kathy Kernan and Milton Dudley, Betsy and Bill Serjak, Jean Clifford, Paul Martin, Janet Holmes, Barbara Washbond, Abijah Reed, and all our other great supporters. Please plan to join us for the Walk-A-Thon next year and know that we always welcome and need new volunteers to our Habitat family. With most sincere appreciation, Charity Marlatt AuSable Valley Habitat for Humanity
