CCC reveives recognition

PLATTSBURGH Clinton Community College received notification it has been recognized again for achieving a 10 percent pass rate for both the Professional in Human Resource and the Senior Professional in Human Resource Exams. The award was announced by the Society for Human Resource Management/Holmes Corporation at an award ceremony held in New Orleans in May. CCC was designated the educational provider in the northeast for the Society for Human Resource Management Certification Program for Human Resource Professionals in January 2003. The SHRM is the worlds largest association devoted to human resource management. Representing more than 225,000 individual members, the societys mission is both to serve human resource management professionals and to advance the profession. The excellent results achieved by the individuals exemplifies Clinton Community Colleges commitment to providing quality education and training for the workforce in the region, stated Cindy Casler, CCC business employment and training specialist. Due to the success of the SHRM program, we have expanded our professional development offerings along with our personal enrichment classes for the upcoming fall semester. Individuals may obtain additional information on professional development courses by accessing the workshop listings on the Web site at www.clinton.edu and clicking on workshops. The Continuing Education Office at CCC is currently accepting registrations for SHRM courses this fall.
