Seagle opera group set for North Creek

SCHROON LAKE Upper Hudson Musical Arts will present the Seagle Music Colony Singers at 2 p.m. Sat. Aug. 16 in a concert of songs from Broadway and Opera. To be held at the Tannery Pond Community Center in North Creek, the performance will present a variety of young singers, including two sopranos, three tenors, two mezzo-sopranos and a baritone. The singers will perform several songs ranging from Gershwins Ive got Rhythm to Vija Lied, from The Merry Widow, by Lehar to Bewitched ,Bothered and Bewildered, from My Pal Joey by Rogers. Other songs among the two dozen selections ,include La ci darem la mano, from Don Giovanni by Mozart, A Wandering Minstrel I, from the Mikado by Gilbert and Sullivan and Seranade from the Student Prince, by Romberg-Andrew Penning. The Seagle Music Colony is not for profit corporation devoted to identifying, training and developing singers and to presenting quality opera and musical theatre to the public.
