Scenes of the "Kingdom" in Shelburne

SHELBURNE Furchgott Sourdiffe Gallery in Shelburne will be showing Montage: a group show featuring work by Byron Geigel and 15 additional artists through Sept. 9. The exhibition will open with a public reception on Friday Aug. 1, 6-8 p.m. Byron Geigel resides in Island Pond. Vermonts Northeast Kingdom is a frequent theme in his lively, Western-like landscapes, which have unique color sensibilities that mark the artist's work with a distinct and refreshing approach. Additional artists who will be showing new work in this exhibit are: Skye Forest, Janet Fredericks, Daniel Gottsegen, Holly Hauser, Janet McKenzie, Virginia McNeice, David Smith, Alice Murdoch, Carolyn Shattuck, Diane Shullenberger, Brian Sweetland, Arleen Targan, Polly Thompson, Barbara Wagner, and Frank Woods.
