Learn to prepare for expeditions

LAKE GEORGE Retired Forest Ranger Pete Fish will be presenting a lecture on back-country preparedness at 7 p.m. p.m. Aug. 12 at the Adirondack Mountain Club headquarters near I-87 Northway Exit 21. A club representative is inviting the public to hear valuable information regarding hiking preparedness and ethics, based on Fishs experiences & observations in the Catskills and Adirondacks High Peaks wilderness. Using his daypack to demonstrated, Fish will focus on contents, attire, rules & regulations, as well as other concerns associated with backcountry recreation.
