Church offers series on family finances

HORICON Kevin Radford of the Horicon Baptist Church has invited the public to take part in a 4-week series at his church examining issues of family financial security in light of the ongoing economic crisis. The series, to be presented on four consecutive Sundays, will begin at 11 a.m. Aug. 24 at the church at 6616 state Rte. 8, he said. Most people believe that financial freedom is learning how to earn, spend, save, give, and invest money, but thats only partially true, he said. The most important thing related to managing money is the motivation behind your decisions -- and what is guiding those decisions? He said the series is intended to help people make the best choices regarding money and possessions. Topics include how people can live debt free, and the benefits of giving back.
