Craft, art show to feature international artisans

ESSEX JUNCTION The Essex Spring Craft and Fine Art Show, featuring artisans from across the country and Canada, returns to the Champlain Valley Exposition for its twelfth year May 3-4. The show, held in the Expositions Robert E. Miller Expo Centre will feature a wide range of quality creations. Its a great opportunity to meet the artisans and find the perfect gifts for yourself as well as Mothers Day, Fathers Day, weddings and graduations, said Sally Washburn, organizer of the show. The show is open from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. both days. Featured are traditional, contemporary and country crafts, fine art, folk art, gourmet specialties and demonstrations. Select from hand blown and stained glass, fine scents and herbal soaps, forged iron, garden accents, original oils and watercolors, candles, pottery, music, leather and sheepskin, calligraphy, note cards, furniture, jewelry, baskets, florals, and gourmet specialties such as dips, sauces, vinegars and sweet treats. The Essex Spring Craft and Fine Art Show is also hosting a food drive at the event to benefit the Chittenden Emergency Food Shelf a drop-off station for donations of non-perishable food products will be located at the entrance. There is also a craft raffle to benefit the Lions Club. Admission is $6 (valid for both days) and children under 12 are free when accompanied by an adult.
