Concert to feature music by Vt. artist

RUTLAND On Tuesday, May 6, at 7 p.m., the Ladies Night Out womens vocal ensemble from Rutland will present its annual spring concert. Each year, the women invite guest musicians to perform; this year they have invited Curbstone Chorus, a local men's barbershop chorus. The groups will be performing several beautiful compositions by local musical artist Gwyneth Walker. The New Millennium Suite, one of Walkers many works, will be performed by the mixed chorus. Also, the mixed chorus will be performing a Walker arrangement of another Vermonters composition, Jon Gailmor's Long Ago Lady. Come and enjoy an evening of vocal music with something for everyone. There is even some folk music disguised as Jazz. The concert is at the College of St. Joseph in the Tuttle Hall Theater located on Clement Drive. The performance begins at 7 p.m.; families are encouraged to bring their children to the early evening performance. There is a requested donation of $5 for the general public, and College of St. Joseph students are especially invited to attend, at no charge.
