Ti Cartoon Museum to open for season

TICONDEROGA The 2008 grand opening of the Ticonderoga Cartoon Museum is set for Friday, May 2, from 3 to 5 p.m., announced Stan Burdick, director. The popular attraction, located in the Community Building on Montcalm Street, offers new displays, refreshments and free gifts for all who attend on this date. Opening day this spring is very special, Burdick said, as children and browse through our three rooms of 700-plus cartoons, enjoy refreshments, including Amazing Superhero Punch, enter a Name the Comic Guys contest to win prizes, and receive a free grab bag gift. After the opening event, the museum will continue to open every Monday, Wednesday and Friday afternoon, 2 to 4 p.m. The museum is in its fifth year of operation at the Ticonderoga site.
