CAMBRIDGE Vermont State Police are continuing their investigation into the cause of a fatal accident which occurred on Hogback Road in Cambridge on the morning of April 14. Early indications show the vehicle to have gone off the roadway for some distance after the operator failed to negotiate a turn. The vehicle continued down a steep embankment and rolled several times finally coming to rest in deep water. It was dark at the time and the roadway was slightly wet. The decedent has been identified as Heather Mansfield of Fletcher. The operator of the vehicle, to be named later, was processed for suspicion of DUI.
