Local man seeking help to offest cost of surgery

NORTH CREEK A fund has been established on behalf of Wayne V. Farmer of Pease Hill Road, Brant Lake. Farmer has stage 3 rectal cancer and must travel to Sloan Kettering Hospital in New York City on April 29-30 for tests. On May 5 he will go back for results and is scheduled for surgery on May 22. Donations to help offset the costs are greatly appreciated. A bank account has been set up on behalf of Farmer at Citizens Bank in North Creek. Checks can be made payable to Wayne V. Farmer and can be mailed to Marylou Pierson, 118 State Route 28N, North Creek, NY 12853. A benefit raffle is also being held on May 17 at the Bolton Conservation Hall on Edgecomb Pond Road in Bolton Landing, NY where a catered buffet will be held for a $5 donation at the door. The event will start at 2 p.m. Everyone is welcome. Raffle tickets are on sale now, for a donation of $10. First place is a Toshiba 37AV500ULCD, HDTV flat screen. Second prize is a full cord of firewood and third prize is a small lap quilt. Anyone who would like to purchase raffle tickets or help sell them can contact Pierson at 251-3465.
