Bridport woman in Windy City run

Heather Hodsden of Bridport will join other dedicated women and men at the Chicago-based Breast Cancer Three-Day Event benefiting Susan G. Komen for the Cure and National Philanthropic Trust. After months of training and fundraising, participants will walk 60 miles during three days to raise awareness and funds for critical research and community outreach programs. Hodsden is joining five long-time friends to walk in honor of loved ones who have fought breast cancer and those who will follow. The team, Hakuna Ma Ta Tas, is spread out around Vermont and one member lives in Connecticut. The team is training and working toward the $2,200 per member minimum fundraising goal, although they are aiming for higher amounts. Hodsdens personal goal is $4,000 of which she has raised $1,000 so far, thanks to many generous individuals. To help Hodsden reach her goal, make a donation directly to her online donation page by visiting 08.the3day.org/goto/HHodsden.
