VNCC chef serves up a magnificent feast

SOUTH BURLINGTON Mark Timms, executive chef at the Vermont National Country Club, donated his time recently to prepare and serve dinner to Howard Center Community Friends Mentoring volunteers at the annual Volunteer Recognition Event held at the Faith United Methodist Church in South Burlington. Now in its 27th year, the program honors volunteers and pays tribute to all that they do for kids during the year. When the program was not able to find a restaurant within its limited budget, Timms offered his own services to the program. Every day these mentors take care of those kids now I am going to take care of them, he said.
