Development group to highlight area's growth

QUEENSBURY The Warren County Economic Development Corp. will hold its annual luncheon Friday, April 25, from 11:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m., at The Great Escape Lodge to review economic development initiatives of the past year and recognize those individuals who made significant contributions to progress. The event is open to the public. Advance paid reservations are required. Keynote Speaker is Ronald Heacock, new president of Adirondack Community College, speaking on the challenges of educating the 21st-century workforce. The group will recognize State Senator Elizabeth Little, Assemblywoman Teresa Sayward, and Queensbury Town Supervisor Daniel G. Stec for their support of local growth initiatives. Each year, about 300 attend the event, which in several instances has welcomed a sell-out crowd. The cost for the luncheon is $40 for EDC members, and $60 for non-members. For sponsorships or advance reservations, call 761-6007 x300 or email ebehlmer@edcwc.org.
