He is going to be at school for a spaghetti dinner, thanks to the Class of 2011! The cost will be $5 per person or $15 per family. Dinner will be from 4:30- pm. After dinner Mr. Bruchak is specifically going to discuss Code Talkers. If you havent done so yet, you can still purchase the book through Amazon. The school has a few paperback copies as well. At the end of the night he is also going to be available for a book signing. Come out for this wonderful community event!!!!

On the same evening the elementary school is hosting a literacy night from 5:30-6 p.m. Come to dinner from 5-5:30 p.m., and go to the elementary wing where the teachers will be discussing all their exciting changes this year in English Language Arts. Beginning this year the school is using a balanced literacy approach to English and we expect to see dramatic improvements over the next few years. See you there!

The Friends of Newcomb Central Schools International Student Group will be hosting its second and hopefully final fundraiser this year. It is a Little Caesars pizza sale. We are beginning soon after the Class of 2009s Potato and Apple Sale. We trust you will support the Class of 2009, and will still have room in your freezer for some pizza. The Yearbook sold Little Caesars pizza last spring, but many people have asked us to do it twice a year. Thanks for your support!

The Newcomb United Methodist Church is hosting its fabulous Dip Dinner, Oct. 20, 5-7 p.m. If you've never attended, this has to be one of the top ten culinary treats of the year. Huge selection of wonderful home cooked dishes, great company for a good cause. Make sure to mark on your calendar!
