Columbus Day weekend looks busy in North Creek

NORTH CREEK Ski Bowl Park, Main Street and Gore Mountain will share top billing during Columbus Day Weekend as all three venues host festivities.

At Ski Bowl Park, the popular North Creek Ski Bowl Sale is back for its third year. You can find discounted prices on winter sports equipment and clothing while enjoying a festive weekend in the shadow of Gore Mountain.

At the historic North Creek Ski Bowl, under the big tents, Schuss Ski & Bike will partner with Beaver Brook Outfitters to offer 10,000 square feet packed with over $1 million of merchandise to get you and your family ready for the upcoming winter season.

Save on new and used ski, snowboard, and cross-country equipment, clothing and outerwear, bicycles, snowshoes, kayaks, and goggles and much more from major brands including Rossignol, Atomic, K2, Salomon, Nordica, Blizzard, Dalbello, North Face, Marker, Bonfire, Descent, Oakley, Burton, Ride, Forum, Rome, Drake Northwave, Gnu, LibTech, etc!

Cunninghams Ski Barn will welcome shoppers at their One Main Street location with sales of 25-50% off equipment.

Take the family on a garnet mine tour. Just a short ride north to North River, the Garnet Mine Tours welcomes visitors Saturday, 9:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.

Gore Mountain Farm is hosting an open house on Saturday and Sunday. Meet the Alpacas, and see members of the Serendipity Spinners demonstrating spinning and weaving with alpaca fleece and yarn. Demo hours are 11 a.m. to 4 p.m.

At Tannery Pond Community Center, Sunday, Oct. 7, the North Creek Depot Museum and Our Town Theater Group will co-offer Dinner & Movie. The French film The Chorus (Les Choristes) will play at 7:30, with dinner preceding.

At Gore Mountain enjoy the annual Harvest Festival with live entertainment, fall food and drink, kids' activities, scenic Northwoods gondola skyrides, and local artists! Vendors include Adirondack crafters, photographers, watercolor artists, jewelers, furniture makers, locally-made maple syrup and honey, and much, much more.

Check out the straw maze, Penelope the Clown with balloon animals and face-painting, great music!
