Panthers topple Minerva-Newcomb

Crown Point edged Minerva-Newcomb, 3-2, in a Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference cross-over game in girls soccer Sept. 18.

The Panthers got goals from Paige Dolback, assisted by Carrie Lillibridge, Jordan McGinness, assisted by Ashley Zapolski, and Emma Ofner.

Britany Peters made five saves in goal for the winners.

Westport 7, Schroon Lake 2

Schroon Lake lost to Westport, 7-2, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer play Sept. 13.

Emily Whitney and Jessica Mehm scored for Schroon. Nicole Beers and Moriah Williams had assists for the Wildcats.

Mindy Whitty had 11 saves for Schroon.

Lake Placid 4, Moriah 1

Lake Placid topped Moriah, 4-1, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer action Sept. 13.

Kearstin Petro scored with an assist from Jen Tesar for Moriah.

Elizabeth Wallace recorded 21 saves for the Vikings.

Victoria Reynolds scored three times as Chazy beat Crown Point, 10-0, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer play Sept. 13.

Britany Peters and Hope Lacey combined to make 24 saves in goal for Crown Point.

Ticonderoga lost to AuSable Valley, 5-1, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer action Sept. 13.

Juliann Mandy scored for Ti.

Arielle Vilardo made 18 saves in the Sentinel goal.

Peru edged Ticonderoga, 1-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer action Sept. 15.

Morgan Flynns goal with five minutes to play was the difference.

Arielle Vilardo made 11 saves for the Sentinels.
