Knights cite members for their contributions

TICONDEROGA Ticonderoga Knights of Columbus Council #333 held an Italian dinner honoring members with over 25 years service hitting five year increment milestones.

They received pins depicting the years of service.

There were approximately 35 members and guests in attendance. Don Gijanto Sr and Richard Liddell, financial secretary, presented the pins to the members. Also in attendance from the Whitehall Council were guests District Deputy and Faithful Navigator of the Fourth Degree, James Lafayette and Past District Deputy, Charles Austin. Food was provided by TiPi Restaurant.

There were 23 members eligible with nine receiving the pins that night.

Thomas Blanchard accepted a pin on behalf of his fathers cousin Edward C. Blanchard who resides in Albuquerque, N.M., for his 60 year mark. The oldest member in attendance was 87 years young John W. Gallagher receiving his 55 year award.

Honored were: 25 years William Ahern, Jr., Perry ONeil; 30 years Rev Alfred Fish, Charles Gijanto; 35 years Cyril Treadway; 40 years Ralph Corbo, Gary Dillion, Louis Fortino, Thomas Gunning, James Laundree, Albert Powvorznik, Earl Spaulding; 45 years Earl Barber, Sr., Lester Bilow, Bernardus Leerkes, Richard G. Liddell, Gerardus Peeters, Deacon Elliot Shaw; 50 years - Anthony Paniccia, Edmund Trombley; 55 years Anthony Difebbo, John Gallagher; 60 years Edward C. Blanchard.
