Elizabeth Katherine Henry

TICONDEROGA Elizabeth Katherine Henry, 89, of Ticonderoga, passed away Saturday, September 15, 2007 at the Moses-Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga.

Born in Burlington, Vermont, May 13, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Burley and Mary (LaRock) Sears.

Mrs. Henry was a lifelong resident of Ticonderoga and a communicant of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga. She was a 1936 graduate of Ticonderoga High School, and a 1938 graduate of Amsterdam College of Nursing.

She was employed as a Nurse at the Moses-Ludington Hospital of Ticonderoga for 35 years.

Mrs. Henry bowled in a league for many years at the Adirondack Lanes of Ticonderoga. She was also a Hall of Fame member of the Glens Falls Women's Bowling Association.

Her husband, Charles W. Henry, pre-deceased her on August 11, 1994, after 53 years of marriage. She was also pre-deceased by one granddaughter, Buffy Henry.

Survivors include four sons, Burley W. Henry and his wife, Betty of Ticonderoga, Lonnie C. Henry and his wife, Mary Ellen of Saranac Lake, Dale G. Henry and his life partner, Jeffrey Williams of Ticonderoga, and Brian F. Henry and his wife, Sally of Milford, New Hampshire; two daughters, Dolores M. Henry of Ticonderoga, and Marianne Fisher and her husband, David of Lisbon, NY; and her daughter-in-law, Diane Henry of Ticonderoga. She is also survived by 13 grandchildren and 11 great-grandchildren.

Relatives and friends called Monday evening, September 17th, from 7 - 9 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home of Ticonderoga.

A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated Tuesday, Sept. 18 at 11 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticonderoga. The Rev. William G. Muench, Pastor, officiated.

The Rite of Committal followed at the family plot of the Valley View Cemetery of Ticonderoga.
