What else do you want busy cooks to know?
Cooking should be enjoyable, not a dreaded chore. I encourage everyone to create a recipe file with about a dozen easy to prepare 30-minute recipes. Then stock your pantry and freezer with the ingredients you need to prepare these convenient recipes. That way youll eliminate the stress of not knowing what to make and not having the necessary ingredients. If novice cooks dont know where to even begin, I suggest checking out Taste of Homes Simple & Delicious magazine. Every issue is loaded with quick and easy recipes that use everyday ingredients. Best of all, these recipes taste fabulous!

For more kitchen wisdom, make plans to attend the upcoming Taste of Home Cooking School. Michelle Goggins will host the 2-hour event that will feature food preparation for "Great Gatherings" on Sept. 28 at Champlain Valley Exposition. the Vermont Times-Sentinel and WOKO are making last-minute plans for an exciting evening. Were expecting a big crowd, so Id advise people to show up early, says Ed Coats. Tickets are $12 each and are available at Homeport, Ashleys Furniture or by calling 802- 985-2400. Doors open for the event at 4:00 PM on Sept. 28, and the program begins at 6:30PM.
