Ticonderoga blanks rival Moriah

Ticonderoga got a pair of goals from Mauranda Wells as it downed Moriah, 2-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer play Sept. 11.

Wells was assisted by Jessie Pachett as she tallied in the first half for a 1-0 lead. Carly Tubbs assisted on Wells second half goal that iced the contest.

Arielle Vilardo recorded the shutout in goal for the Sentinels, making seven saves.

Elizabeth Wallace made five saves in the Moriah net.

Crown Point fell to Elizabethtown-Lewis, 5-0, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer action Sept. 7.

Kelsey Marvin scored three times for the Lions.

AVCS 6, Moriah 0
Moriah lost to AuSable Valley, 6-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer play Sept. 6.

Sammy Ashline had three goals for the Pats.

Elizabeth Wallace made 13 saves in goal for Moriah.

Seton 9, Ticonderoga 0
Seton Catholic topped Ticonderoga, 9-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer play Sept. 6.

Rhea Breyette scored three times for Seton.

Arielle Vilardo and Jocelyn Barber combined to make 10 saves for the Sentinels.

NAC 2, Ticonderoga 0
Ticonderoga dropped a 2-0 decision to Northern Adirondack in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer play Sept. 8.

Sarah Turdo had a goal and an assist for the Cougars.

Arielle Vilardo recorded nine saves in the Ti goal.

Chazy 5, Schroon Lake 0
Schroon Lake lost to Chazy, 5-0, in Mountain and Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer action Sept. 11.

Victoria Reynolds scored three goals for the winners.

Mindy Whitty made 14 saves on goal for Schroon.

The game was called at halftime because of a severe thunder storm.

Britany Peters made 11 saves in goal for Crown Point.
