Physical therapist back in town

WARRENSBURG Natalie Barber is a familiar name among physical therapy patients in Warrensburg, working for eight years for Hudson Headwaters Health Network. After the network phased out its physical therapy department, Barber decided to go out on her own.

Open now in the new River Street Plaza on River Street in Warrensburg, Barber has started Adirondack Physical Therapy and Fitness. She is a certified physical therapist, and is also certified in the McKenzie Method, which specializes in neck and back treatment. She has been a physical therapist for 18 years.

I have a passion for physical therapy, and Ive met many wonderful patients through Hudson Headwaters, she said. I want to continue to provide quality, caring service for people in this community.

Barber grew up in the area and has developed a good reputation in her field. Her new business offers treatment for back and neck pain, herniated or bulging discs, arthritis, tendonitis, athletic and work injuries and gait disturbances, such as a patient recovering from knee replacement surgery.

Our philosophy is prevention, early intervention, education and restore function, Barber said. People can expect individual treatment and therapy for 30 to 60 minutes.

Adirondack Physical Therapy and Fitness offers balance training and fall prevention, and custom orthotics for foot problems, as well s continuation of care through guided exercise. They are open Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. - 6 p.m. Call at 685-4220.
