AuSable Valley Hall of Fame to induct nine

David Ghiloni-Graduated from AuSable Valley in 1972, along with first year inductee Ed Barrie, a member of AuSable Valleys first sectional basketball championship team. Davids high school career was not filled with statistics, but with wins. David was a standout at baseball, basketball and football during his high school career and went on to be a member of the AuSable Forks Spirits CVBL winning town baseball team. He was a CVAC basketball and football allstar in 1972 and was Captain of the Sectional Champion basketball team in 1972.

Michael McCormick-A 1977 graduate from the Valley, Mike is arguabley the best swimmer to ever come out of AuSable Valleys powerhouse of a swimming program during the 70s and 80s. Mike was captain of the swim team all four of his seasons, the team won sectionals and conferences all four years and McCormack was a seven time Sectional Individual champion and four time relay champion. He held 10 out of 12 individual and relay conference and school records during his senior year. Mike went on to swim at SUNY Potsdam and continued his success. He still holds the AuSable Valley record for the 200 individual medley., a record that has stood for over 30 years.

Gary Finney -A 1979 graduate from AuSable Valley, Finney played football, basketball, baseball and golf during his high school career. Garys biggest contribution came on the basketball court as he was a member of numerous All Star Teams (WIRY, WEAV and Plattsburgh Press) each of his varsity seasons. Gary attended Johnson State College in Vermont and is a successful marketing and sales consultant in the Phoenix, Ariz. area.

James Jamie Douglass-A 1980 graduate from AuSable, Douglas played football, basketball and baseball while in High School. Douglass was a member of the first AuSable football team to beat Peru in 1979. In 79 he was the CVAC leading receiver and a 2nd team CVAC allstar. He was a member of the Patriot basketball team that went 23-4 in 1980, allowing only 41.5 ppg. He was a 1980 First team Division two allstar and 2nd team WIRY allstar. Jamie went on to play basketball at Daemen College and enjoyed a successful career on the Spirts baseball team. He is AuSable Valleys Varsity basketball coach, and was voted CVAC boys coach of the year in 2006 as well as the BCANYS boys coach of the year.
