Cross said that the Keene location was a remarkable place for the sport for, along with the fine field, the setting provided a breathtaking background. Spectators are welcome, and many enjoy hosting tailgate parties during games.

A polo match and barbecue, with all proceeds benefiting the United Way of Clinton & Essex Counties, will take place on Saturday, Sept. 22, at the Bark Eater Inn & Stables in Keene. The gates will open at noon. There will be live music and sky divers.
