In December, Flynnspace will once again host its annual holiday show, Winter Tales. For the third year in a row, the show will feature actors and actresses reading a mix of stories by both professional writers and local amateurs. Writers from the community can submit their stories to the VSC by November 15.
Weve had really good success doing this each of the three years, said Nash. We ask that the stories be related to winter and/or the holidays in Vermont. Wed like them to be around 2000 words or so. Other than that its pretty wide open.
Winter Tales runs for one week only, from December 5 to December 9.
Doubt, by John Patrick Shanley, is scheduled to run from January 23 to February 3. The recent Broadway hit and winner of both the 2005 Tony Award for Best Play and the Pulitzer Prize for Drama is described as a gripping mystery and a compelling exploration of morality.
Rounding out the five performances is Richard Greenbergs touching and surprisingly funny romance, Three Days of Rain. Greenbergs play was recently revived on Broadway, with Julia Roberts as the lead.
Subscriptions for the 2007-2008 are available now, beginning at $69 for four shows. For more information and a detailed look at the schedule, visit www.vtstage.org or call 862-1497.
