An exciting new addition to the Festival this year is a display of rare breed animals including an American Cream horse, a Dale pony and two Poitou donkeys. The National Museum of the Morgan Horse will also have an exhibit. New too is the arts-and-crafts demonstration by Fletcher Farm School for Arts and Crafts, and a demonstration of traditional lace-making by the Vermont Chapter of International Old Lacers.
Lake Champlain Ferries is the presenting sponsor for the 2007 Harvest Festival and support is also received from Vermont Tent and American Flatbread.
Admission to the Harvest Festival is free to Shelburne Farms members. Admission for nonmembers is $6/adults; $4/children; children under 3 years of age are free. The event is held rain or shine. For information, please call 802-985-8686.
