Meadowbrook Healthcare hosts successful community block party

PLATTSBURGH On Thursday, Aug. 30, Meadowbrook Healthcare hosted a very successful Block Party for residents, families, guests, and neighbors. Approximately 150-175 people of all ages attended the event, which included festival-style games, an antique fire truck display courtesy of the City of Plattsburgh Fire Department, clowns, face painting, a bounce castle, pony rides and a petting zoo, as well as alpacas from Adirondack Evergreen Alpacas in Beekmantown. Children enjoyed taking advantage of the many fun activities and interacting with the seniors. Meadowbrook residents and children liked trying out the games and taking home some silly prizes. Musical entertainment included the Singing Santa, Ron Wood with violinist Carl Kokes, and the band Flashback. The Block Party was a wonderful celebration of the summer season and was greatly enjoyed by all who attended.
