Combined boys soccer team shows much promise

INDIAN LAKE The Indian Lake boys varsity soccer team is once-again looking forward to an outstanding season. With a roster complemented by players from Long Lake Central School, coach John Reynolds is confident of his teams abilities and proud of their pre-season efforts.

The greatest thing about this season is how well the integration of the two schools is going, says Reynolds. Theres great kids on both sides, weve hit the ground running with this merger and its been a great success so far. With a few more bodies this year and more competitive practices, I think well be seeing significant results.

As part of the Mountain Valley Athletic Conference, Southern Division, the team will be competing against such rivals as Johnsburg Central School and Bolton Central School. Both Johnsburg and Bolton have great teams and theyre both well-coached, says Reynolds. But we have some great talent this year and I believe we can be competitive within our southern division. It should be an interesting league this year.
