Train ride, 18 holes and a barbecue

NORTH CREEK For the first time in recent memory, golfers in Warren County can ride the train to the greens. On Thursday, Sept. 27, board the train in North Creek, ride to 1,000 Acres for lunch at the clubhouse and 18 holes of golf - then on to the all-you-can-eat steak and chicken BBQ at the Ranch and finally, awards and prizes.

Thousand Acres has a picturesque par 35, 9- hole golf course, distinctively set along the banks of the Hudson River, surrounded by the Adirondack Mountains.

The train-and-golf package is sponsored by the Gore Mountain Region Chamber of Commerce with the Upper Hudson River Railroad and the 1,000 Acres Golf Resort. There is limited space , and he price is $65 per person.
