Randy Frederic Schryer

TICONDEROGA Randy Frederic Schryer, 50, of Tucson, AZ and formerly of Ticonderoga, passed away suddenly at his home in Tucson, AZ, on Wednesday, August 8, 2007.

Born in Ticonderoga, New York, on September 18, 1956, he was the son of Bernard and Joyce Schryer of Ticonderoga.

Randy was a graduate of Ticonderoga High School, Class of 1974. Following graduation, he joined the United States Air Force where he served his country for eight years.

After leaving the Air Force, he worked at Davis Monthan Air Force Base in Tucson, AZ, where he advanced through the ranks of the Fire Department, retiring after 32 years of service as Fire Chief on June 1, 2007.

Randy will be remembered by his family and friends as a dedicated husband and father, for his sense of humor, his spaghetti, being a great listener, and always willing to lend a hand. He will sadly be missed and loved by all.

He was pre-deceased by his sister, Bernadette A. Mosier on September 6, 2005.

Survivors include his wife of 30 years, Julieta Schryer, and their two children, Randy L. Schryer and Abigail Schryer; a nephew, Jesus Leon; his parents, Bernard and Joyce Schryer of Ticonderoga; two sisters, Brenda Martin and her husband James, and Lisa McDonough and her husband, Darrin, all of Ticonderoga; his wife's family of Hermosillo, Sonora; and several nieces and nephews.

Services took place in Tucson, AZ on August 13th and 14th.

Relatives and friends may call Friday, September 7, 2007, from 6 - 7 p.m. at the Wilcox & Regan Funeral Home, 11 Algonkin St., Ticonderoga. A Memorial Service will follow at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. The Rev. William G. Muench, Pastor of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Ticondeorga, will officiate.
