Primary election set Sept. 18

TICONDEROGAThere will be little political suspense in this falls primary election. Ticonderoga Super- visor Bob Dedrick, Moriah Supervisor Tom Scozzafava, Crown Point Supervisor Dale French, and Schroon Supervisor Cathy Moses are all unopposed in their bids for Republican nominations. All are incumbents.

Most other candidates are also without opposition.

In Ticonderoga there will be a Republican primary for town highway superintendent. Incumbent Phil Huestis is being challenged by Arthur Morrison, Sr., and Paul Sharkey.

In Schroon the GOP primary for highway superintendent will pit Dana Shaughnessy, Donald Bessey, and Charles McKenna.

Schroon will also have a Republican primary to determine two nominees to the town board. Running are incumbent Clara Phibbs. Richard Simpson, Laura Donaldson, and Bruce Caza. Caza is a former North Hudson supervisor now living in Schroon.

Moriah will have a GOP primary for two town board nominations. Running are incumbents Paul Salerno and Eugene Williams Jr. along with Suzanne Zelinski and Thomas Anderson.

Primary voting will be Tuesday, Sept. 18, 12 noon to 9 p.m.

There are no Democratic primaries in the area.
