Many people make the "Run for Jon" successful

Peru Saturday, August 25th was an extremely hot and humid day. Race Director Scott Woodward and the Evans family were concerned when heavy rain hit Peru about 3:30 PM, but several minutes later the skies cleared, a rainbow appeared and by 5:15 PM the 17th Annual Run for Jon was underway. Surrounded by Forrence Orchard trees laden with bright red apples and seemingly sky-high corn stalks approximately 250 runners, walkers and small children participated in the 2007 event. By the end of the day approximately $4,000 had been raised to assist local families with a child in medical crisis. The Evans family and Race Director Woodward extended their sincere thanks to all the participants, helpers and local businesses who made the event a huge success.
