Elizabethtown Social Center is accepting applications for new teen members

ELIZABETHTOWNThe Elizabethtown Social Center is currently accepting applications for new members for its Teen Program.

Social Center Executive Director, Alicia Sirk stated, Our Teen Program is new and improved. We offer a fun, safe environment for teens to hang out after school, on weekends, and are open year-round.

Program hours currently run Tuesday through Thursday, 3-8 p.m., Friday, 3-10 p.m., and Saturday, 2-10 p.m. Fall hours, which will begin in September, are Tuesday through Thursday, 3-6 p.m., Friday, 3 -10 p.m., and Saturday, 2-10 p.m.

We now have PS2 and X-Box systems, with sports games and Guitar Hero. We also have foosball, pool, ping-pong, and basketball and tennis courts. Come join us for 9-Ball pool tournaments, movie nights, relay competitions, field trips, theme dances, cooking nights, and much more.

Activities are listed on the Social Center website www.elizabethtownsocialcenter.org and are updated regularly.

Teen membership is free and open to students age 12-18 residing in Elizabethtown, Lewis, and New Russia.

The Elizabethtown Social Center, Inc. was established in 1939 by Cora Putnam Hale to provide the "greatest good for the greatest number of people". Currently more than 200 of our neighbors, most of them teens between the ages of 12 and 18 use our facilities weekly. (That works out to more than 10,000 people annually!) The Social Center is a private 501(c)3 not-for-profit organization. Donations are gratefully accepted and are tax-deductible to the fullest extent allowed by law.
