NAMI thanks supporters

To kick-off Mental Illness Awareness Week Oct. 7-13, the National Alliance on Mental Illness of Champlain held a successful education and friendraising event Oct. 6. We would like to thank the many dedicated volunteers who worked outside in the rain and the many individuals who purchased raffle tickets and baked goods, as well as making free-will donations to our work to provide free education, advocacy and support to all those affected by mental illnesses in Clinton, Franklin and Essex counties. We especially want to thank the many businesses and individuals who made donations to our raffle: Salerno Plastics, Dawns Furniture, Schnonbeks, Champlain Valley Therapeutic Massage, Champlain Valley Electric, Apple Blossom Florist, Crickets, Dunkin Donuts, Burger King, TJ Maxx, Old Navy, NAPA Auto Parts, Leon Phelps, Karen Crites, Staples, K-Mart, Sears, Meyers Pharmacy, Stewarts, True Value Hardware, Taco Bell, Price Chopper, General Trading Company, Iriss, Ultrawave, Perkins, Monroe Muffler, Papa Johns, Canteen, Carmen Facteau, Kelly Jarrard, Cornelia Street Subway, and Dames Rental & Sales Center.
