WARRENSBURG The Warrensburgh Historical Societys 2008 Calendar is currently on sale at local establishments. Entitled Warrensburgh Lost, Part 2, the calendar features historic photographs of Warrensburg buildings off Main Street that no longer exist, along with brief descriptions of each. The calendar is available at the following locations in Warrensburg: Miller Art and Frame, Jacobs and Toney Market, Nemecs Farm & Garden, the Warrensburg branch of Glens Falls National Bank and The Richards Library. Members of the Society have already received a copy, which is included in the price of membership. Images include early photographs of the Emerson and Smith sawmills, Burhans Tannery, the shoe peg factory, the sash and blind factory, Warrensburgh Woolen Mill, Schroon River Pulp and Paper Company, Warrensburgh News office, Warrensburg Fairgrounds, Warrensburgh Academy, The Messenger House, and Laverys Grocery Store. All were destroyed either by fire or demolition. Photographs were provided by the Warrensburgh Museum of Local History as well as several private collectors.
