Crown Point church gets new pastor

CROWN POINT Wilfred R. Meseck has been appointed pastor of the Crown Point United Methodist Church by Bishop Susan W. Hassinger. The appointment is effective Nov. 1. Crown Point United Methodist Church services will continue to be at 9:30 a.m. each Sunday. Meseck is a native of Plattsburgh. He is a graduate of Mooers Central School and the Pastor License School at Drew University. He comes to Crown Point with a variety of life and work experiences, including military service, said Marilyn Crossman of the parish relations committee. He has formerly served at Sciota, Morrisonville and Peasleeville churches, so hes no stranger to small communities, she said. The Crown Point United Methodist Church is happy to welcome Wilfred and his wife, Darlene, to our community.
