ATCNRC Residents visit Garnet Hill, Up Yonda Farm

NORTH CREEK Ten residents and day-care patients of Adirondack Tri-County Nursing and Rehabilitation Center enjoyed a 15-year tradition of a luncheon at Garnet hill Lodge on Oct. 15. The tradition began with previous Lodge owner George Heim and has been continued by current owners Joe and Mary Fahy. Lunch included lasagna, cold cuts, vegetables, salad, bread and beverage. We are so pleased to carry on this tradition, Mary Fahy said. Its wonderful to meet the residents and work with the community. The Garnet Hill outing is a trip our residents enjoy every fall, said Jamie Reynolds, activities director at the center. We are very thankful to the Fahys for keeping this great tradition alive. On Oct. 17, another group from the center enjoyed a tour of the museum at Up Yonda Farm in Bolton Landing. This was our first trip to the farm, said Adult Day Care Coordinator Suzanne Stoddard. The residents really loved it. We are looking forward to having them give presentations at the Center this coming winter.
