Moriah edged Ticonderoga, 2-1, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls soccer play Oct. 15. Kearstin Petro scored with an assist from Chelsea McKiernan to give the Vikings a 1-0 lead. Torri Fernandez tallied with an assist from Kayla Gagnon to put Moriah on top, 2-0, at the intermission. Ticonderoga got a goal from Mauranda Wells early in the second half to make it 2-1, but the Sentinels never managed the equalizer. Elizabeth Wallace made nine saves in goal for Moriah.
