Chazy takes down ELCS in final game of regular season

Elizabethtown-Lewis 1, Willsboro 0 (OT) Elizabethtown-Lewis shut out Willsboro, 1-0, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 9. Brittany Pajak scored the winning goal off an assist from Kelsey Gibson, while Riley Diemand had four saves to secure the shut out. Stephanie Marcotte had nine saves for Willsboro in a losing effort for Willsboro. Westport 1, Schroon Lake 0 Westport shut out Schroon Lake, 1-0, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 9. Steffi Russell scored the winning goal off an assist from Valentina Rodriguez, while Molly Rascoe had six saves to secure the win in net. Seton Catholic 1, AuSable Valley 0 (OT) Seton Catholic defeated AuSable Valley, 1-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 10. Goalie Jesse Wallace made 15 saves for AVCS. Keene 3, Westport 1 Keene defeated Westport, 3-1, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 11. Emma Nye scored all three goals for Keene, while Summer Reed picked up two assists and Louisa Sardella added one. Helen Lawrence blocked 12 shots to record the win. Sarah Gibbs scored Westports lone goal, while Molly Wagner recorded eight saves. Elizabethtown-Lewis 6, Crown Point 0 Elizabethtown-Lewis shut out Crown Point, 6-0, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 11. Kelsey Gibson had two goals and one assist, while Courtney Marvin, Kelsey Marvin, Brittany Pajak and Kylie Rock also tallied. Goalie Riley Diemand had the shut out with four saves. Riley Diemand recorded the shutout in net for the Lions with four saves. Chazy 5, Willsboro 0 Chazy shut out Willsboro, 5-0, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 11. Chazy had a 25-3 shot advantage. Stephanie Marcotte had 13 saves for Willsboro, and Stevie Burrows made one. Saranac 2, AuSable 0 Saranac shut out Au Sable Valley, 2-0, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 12. Saranac had a 22-5 shot advantage. Goalie Jesse Walton made 14 saves for AVCS. Elizabethtown-Lewis 3, Westport 0 Elizabethtown-Lewis shut out Westport, 3-0, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 13. Kelsey Gibson scored all three goals for ELCS, while Courtney Marvin added two assists. Riley Diemand had three saves to record the win in net. Goalie Molly Rascoe had 15 saves for Westport. Keene 3, Crown Point 1 Keene defeated Crown Point, 3-1, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 13. Emma Nye scored two goals for Keene, while Emma Gothner scored once and picked up an assist, and Jessica Caner added an assist. Helen Lawrence had five saves to record the win in net. Chazy 4, Elizabethtown-Lewis 0 Chazy shut out Elizabethtown-Lewis, 4-0, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 16. Chazy held a 26-3 shot advantage. ELCS goalie Riley Diemand made 21 saves. The two teams will play again on Oct. 18 to determine the winner of the MVAC Northern division. Keene 1, Schroon Lake 0 Keene shut out Schroon Lake, 1-0, in Mountain & Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 16. Kayla Hebert scored off an assist from Louisa Sardella. Helen Lawrence made five saves to record the shut out. AuSable Valley 4, Lake Placid 3 (OT) Au Sable Valley defeated Lake Placid, 4-3, in Champlain Valley Athletic Conference girls' soccer on Oct. 16. Samantha Ashline scored three goals for the Lady Patriots, while Michelle Johnson scored once. Jesse Walton made seven saves to record the win in net.
